"And we're walking..."

October is here. In fact it's almost half way gone.
The time that has passed between now and the last post I made has brough a lot of changes. Some of them good, some of them not so good, and some I can't really tell yet what they are.
As far as the house goes, I've made some progress. I've primed the back room, calked under the base boards and primed most of the hall. The ceilings in the 'Guest Wing' have been painted and repaired where needed, except in the bathroom, where I'll have to do alot of taping off to protect the wall paper that I've decided to keep. I even picked a whole color palette for the 'Meditation Room'. I've also picked the new color for the outside of the house. The rest is still in ackward stages of here or there.
Personally life has gotten crazy.
Nick and I split up, almost one week ago from now. We split on good terms, recognizing that some personal growth needed to be acheived. It's all still very fresh and some days are better than others. If you know Nick personally please know that he doesn't want a big deal made out of this. He recognizes that you may care, but please refrain from expressing simpathy unless he comes to you.
In almost direct juxtoposition from my situation, my good friend Jess just got married to her wonderful beau Josh. They really are great together and I'm so very happy for my friend to be able to find happiness as she so very much deserves. It was a lovely ceremony. Not too big, not too small, and I'm very glad I got to be there to see it. Before the night was out she got me to two-step with her. Of all the things you do for friends. It really wasn't that bad, I just kept forgetting how the steps went and she had to keep counting them out to me. I think I started to kill her buzz.
Well, my dinner awaits me.

Spring, time for a new post!

So. There's a 'panaramic' of my back yard.

I always want to start entries of all sorts that way. I must pick a new word.

For updates on the house and pictures either check out my Facebook or my other blog, Hunt Pour Chez Moi.

THIS blog gets snow pictures! Yes it has snowed alot in Texas this year. I actually had to shovel out my drive way! Why should I have to do that? I don't live in Colorado anymore! I have pictures to prove it too! I actually think it's better to rake snow rather than shovel it, it seemed to work better for me anyway. For your viewing pleasure: the place where my car got stuck, a pretty piece of my scenary, the pups that loved the snow, and the car that did not.

This blog will also get Spring Break pictures, which also involve snow. I seem to have a theme here. The drive back home was gorgeous. Wanna see those? Check out my facebook. For your viewing pleasure: Mt. Crested Butte with a snow cat on the left (bright spot), Nick on the slope with the condos in the back, Moi with the world's most expensive hat on my head.

Maybe I should through in some birthday photos too? They have fire! Combat the snow! I went to Holaki Dahan and the DFW Hindu center. It was awesome.

The trouble with...

The trouble with moving is that you pack things.
And in packing things you put them in boxes where you can no longer see them.
And the trouble with that is that you get all caught up in the packing and the moving and then you loose things....like your card reader.
Then you can't post pictures of your 1970's villa and its fuzzy wallpaper...
:(
I MUST remedy this immediately

On my mind

I am so procrastinating.

I should be editing some pictures right now, but instead I'm on here, typing away to a mystery audience that very well may not exsist.

On my mind today:
I have a twitter acount that I don't actually use.
I need to get out more.
I just got a phone call telling me that the local cooperative can't service the house I just bought, so that mean's I'm stuck with TXU. Suck.
People need to stop looking for a quick fix to thier problems. There are none. If you want to be healthy and live a long life than that means you can't be sedentary and eat McDonalds every day. Get off your butt and excercise! It's not that bad really. Have you ever seen someone who leads an active, fit life that hates it? No. And you have to eat well. That DOES NOT mean starvation or boring food or gross food. It means don't fry everything, eat more plants, watch your sugar intake and pay attention to what goes into your food. If you really want to be healthy then you should also look into what's in your water, what chemicals are being gased out from your walls and floors and check your A/C filters.
When did America stop believing in hard work and integrity and become a land of lazy self centered hypocrits? Or have I been terribly naive all this time?
BAH!
I'm going to try to go make some blogspot friends now.

C'est 2010, c'est vivre encore

A new year, a new post, a new thang.

What happened in the few weeks before the new year? Found a house (should be closing today), saw a nutritionist and am on a de-tox, had X-mas with my family folks, got snowed/iced in at my dad's and had a week 'vacation' from work.

I put vacation in quotes because all I've spent my week doing really is pack. I have so much crap, how did that happen?

Other than that I really don't have a whole lot to say.

This de-tox that I'm on? I have to take six different suppliments! One of them is the most narly thing I have ever seen. It looks like compressed alfalfa and white sand and is about as thick as my pinky. Ha ha ha, it's kind of sick looking. And I have to take three of the bastards, along with three of some other supplement, I think Magnesium, right before bed. Aside from those I take three of one kind first thing in the morning before I do anything else, then one fish oil with every meal, and one each of two others with breakfast and dinner. It's alot of pill swallowage. The worst one is that leafy one. Ha ha, it totally looks like a pellet. I should take a picture of 'em all and post it.

In addition to swallowing what smells questionable and is probably too large for my throat I am on a restricted diet. No dairy, no sugar, no alchohol, and no processed foods. Not overly deviating from what I normally prefer, but it's starting to become a pain. Like when you go to your friend's birthday celebration only to find that it's at an italian place that doesn't believe in serving a meal without pasta. I ended up ordering the Chicken Florentine. Never again. Way too bitter for me. It was made with a lemon and spinache, watery, sauce. Eck. Oh well, learned something new!

I also learned that just becuase Nick says he likes something, doesn't mean he'll eat it for left overs. This guy has a real issue with left overs. He'll make plenty and create said tin foil treasures, but he won't eat them. Can't figure it out.

In other health news I've been working out almost every day, so that's good. Nick got me a Wii for Christmas and the Jillian Michaels fitness 'game' that is for the Wii. He got himself some shoot-em up game. Uh huh. He got the Wii for "me", right....

*yawn* I don't really have all that much else to say. Guess I'll sign off now.
